A family press with a 34-year shelf
Amberwood Press was founded in 1992 by author and artist Nava Atlas, and began with her own books — the reissued kitchen classics, including the fully vegan fourth edition of Vegetariana and the fifth edition of Vegan Soups and Stews for All Seasons — and the limited-edition artist’s books that live in special collections across the country.
Today it is a family enterprise. The shelf has grown to carry Harry C. Tabak’s art and Evan Tabak Atlas’s philosophy — 7 trade books and a growing list of ebooks, all on one shelf.
